Clipping Wings
You should keep their wings clipped. Since they weigh only about 30 grams they
can get air borne very easily, even with clipped wings in the right situation.

Grooming
By feeding the best diet and keeping their water fresh and clean, grooming
is minimal because they will be in good condition. It's good to spray your
birds
lightly or encourage them to use a little "bathtub". The water helps
them to preen themselves. With the right perches, their nails and beaks usually
stay in good condition. During molting season you can help those pesky pinfeathers
along by "preening" your bird with a soft toothbrush, brushing very
lightly against the growth pattern or just use your fingernails. |
