Shipping
is safe and we can safely ship all year
around. We ship with
Delta & Continental - they have taken excellent
care of our Parrotlets.
Shipments are insured with the airlines (at no additional cost
to you) while en route.
To
Book Shipping & Pick Up
To ship via airline, we need the following:
1) Your full name
2) Emergency contact phone number
3) Your physical address
4) Name of nearest airport(s) closest to you
How
to Pick up
Generally
you will pick up airlines' ticket counter or at airlines'
cargo facility/office with your drivers license or a photo ID.
I
will e-mail tracking/booking number, pick up instructions & flight
information as soon payment is received and the day of the
flight is agreed upon. Flight bookings for live cargo can
be made within 7 days of travel for most airlines. Bookings
for
live cargo can also be cancelled and rescheduled without
any penalty if an emergency should arise.
Cost
The
cost of shipping is a flat fee. The cost with shipping carrier
is $125 (Delta) or $150 (Continental). These fees for shipping
are waived
with purchase of a pair (male and female) For purchase of 2 males,
shipping fees apply.
Temperature Restrictions
Continental Airlines can ship ALL year around.
There are no temperature restrictions at most of their airports.
They have a different shipping system than Delta. Delta ONLY
ships
if outdoor
temperature
upon arrival is between 40 degrees and 85 degrees. I try to use
Delta as much as possible because it is cheaper. I use Continental
only if there is severe weather. Both
are safe. Parrotlets are not shipped with
luggage but in their own room on plane. They will not come out
on the baggage carousel, a rep carries the carrier out and it
is delivered to the ticket counter or cargo facility.

continental United States ONLY.
